Easter came and went, the bunnies all hopped and the eggs were hunted to exctinction, roll on summer!

Easter on the cays is a family event. The guys go fishing drinking beer, the girls socialize while making sure everything is organised and the kids play in the sea all day.

Full moon was last night. The spring full moons of April, May and June are a time when the snapper get horny and travel all the way down to spawn at one area of The Belize Barrier Reef called Gladden Spit. This is where whale sharks are also congregating to feed on the spawning snappers.

I just got back from a few days up in Belmopan. The weather is typical for Belize in April, hot and dry and so this whole world is burning making the atmosphere very misty and smoky. Although every cloud has a silver lining and we got 3 nights of great sunsets although you have to wonder if it is worth burning down the forest just to see an orange setting sun!!!

This weeks scuba diving involved a trip to Glover Reef which is one of Belize's three atolls. Glovers is 35 miles from the mainland and is a remote rarely visited location. Altough the day we got there we found several other boats were also doing day trips to the atoll. It didn't affect us in any way because Glovers Reef is a large reef system with plenty of great spots to visit.
